Zelda J. Lawson

Zelda J. Lawson, 74, of Cavalier, ND passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Walhalla Lutheran Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation for one hour before the time of services.

Zelda J. Bennett was born November 25, 1943 at Langdon, ND to Peter and Edith (Hiller) Bennett. She grew up in the Vang area and graduated from Walhalla High School. On December 18, 1964, she married Richard Lawson at the Walhalla Lutheran Church. After their marriage they lived in the Concrete area. She worked at the PAR Site-Cavalier Air Force station in security and later as BX Manager. Zelda also worked at the Walhalla Inn.

She is survived by her husband, Dick; children: Scott Murphy (Cathy) Lawson, Homosassa, FL, Roy (Shirley) Lawson, Warren, MN, Nancy (Marc) Clement, Mound, MN, Gary Lawson, Cavalier, ND; 15 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; sisters: Frances Seeley, Evoynel Berg, Imogene (Gerald) Helle, Norma (Ron) Storey, Gayle (Brad) Gendron; brothers: Emmett (Emma) Bennett, Manley (Mary) Bennett, Steven (Vicki) Bennett.

Preceding her in death were her parents and brother, Howard.
