Wynn Gebur

Wynn Elliott Gebur, 57, of Cavalier lost his prolonged battle with cancer and passed away at the VA hospital in Fargo on Friday, September 14th, 2012 in the presence of family members.

Wynn was born June 20, 1955, in Rolla, ND, to James E. and Betty (Keeling) Gebur. Wynn grew up in Calvin and went to school at Border Central, graduating in 1973. He then spent 4 years in the U.S. Navy. Following military service, he earned an auto mechanics degree from Lake Region College. Wynn was employed at various places, spending a number of years in Dickinson at Dan Porter Motors and over 15 years at Motor Coach Industries in Pembina until health issues forced his retirement in 2011.

Wynn enjoyed hunting and fishing, surfing the net, computer games and visiting with family, either in person or on the telephone.

He is survived by 2 brothers: Jim B. (Gloria) Gebur of Drayton and Les Gebur of Thief River Falls, MN and 2 sisters: Jeanette Daniel of Stillwater, MN, and Ellen (John) Hoerer of Rolla, ND. He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews: Joshua Gebur, Jessica (Jamie) Greicar, Tyler Gebur, Kari McCloud, Kayla Llamas, Amanda (Nate) Larson, Robert Gebur, James (Toshimi) Daniel, Jennifer (Todd) Roettger, Scott (Mechelle) Hoerer, Fargo Hoerer, Rodney (Carey) Hoerer, Samantha Hoerer, and Micheal Hoerer and 18 great-nieces and nephews.

Wynn was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law David Daniel.

SERVICES Saturday, September 22, 2012, at 2:00pm, at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND.

INTERMENT Corinthian Cemetery, Calvin, ND at 4:00pm, Saturday, September 22, 2012.
