Willis Dale Romfo passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 surrounded by family at the Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon at the age of 80.
Willis was born August 6, 1934 near Vang, ND to Helgert and Lillian (Christianson) Romfo. The family moved south of Hannah where they grew up and went to school. On June 20, 1964, Willis married Sheri Krumweide in Sarles, ND. They celebrated their 50th anniversary last summer. The couple remained farming near Hannah while raising their 3 children. They also enjoyed spending time at the lakes with family and friends. Willis had a natural talent for farming and loved passing this knowledge on to his children and family. Willis served as supervisor on the Linden Township Board and was a member of the United Lutheran Church in Langdon, ND. He had a heart of gold and loved spending time and money on his children and grandchildren. After the children grew, Willis and Sheri moved into Langdon where he loved having coffee and playing cards with his many friends. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
Willis is survived by wife Sheri of Langdon; children: Cindy (Bryon) Neer of West Fargo, Denise (Dan) Lothspeich of West Fargo, and Wade ( Tanya) Romfo of Hannah; grandchildren: Kasey ( Trevor) McAllister, Max Kunkel, Chase Kunkel, Dakota Neer, Kaylee Lothspeich, Kyle Lothspeich, Kourtney Lothspeich, Tanner Romfo, Briana Romfo, Nevaeh Romfo, Myranda Romfo, Tesa Klesalek; great-grandchild Emma Sanders; siblings: Neil (Marilyn) Romfo of Langdon, Armond (Gloria) Romfo of Langdon, Dean (Lois) Romfo of Hannah, Marlene (Al) Kruger of Onamia, MN, Marlys (Bill) Loveridge of Zelienople, PA, Annette Tibbets of Pensacola, FL; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Duane and Helgert Jr. and sister Ramona Vodden.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Lutheran Church in Langdon, ND.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 27, 2015 from 5-7:00 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church with a prayer service starting at 7:00. Visitation will also take place for one hour prior to service time at the church on Saturday.
