William "Bill" Sellheim age 92 of Cavalier, ND., died on Sunday, February 20, 2005, at the Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 25, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at the Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Cavalier Cemetery. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
William Sellheim was born July 1, 1912, at Hensel, ND., to John and Theresa (Sommer) Sellheim. He grew up on a farm near Hensel. After graduating from Cavalier High School he taught in a one room country school for five years. For the next 20 years he farmed in the Hensel area. In 1956, he went to work for Simonson's Cut Rate Gas in Grand Forks for three years and in 1960 managed a Simonson's Station in Bismark for eight years. They then moved back to Grand Forks and he worked for Dave's Apco. In 1973, they moved back to Cavalier where he worked for Lyle's Jack and Jill, then part-time for Behm's Plumbing and Humble's Heating and Air Conditioning.
On December 15, 1936, he married Gladys O. Jenson at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, rural St. Thomas, ND. Gladys Sellheim died on October 11, 1990.
He is survived by sons, Randall Sellheim, Las Vegas, NV. and Terrence (Amy) Sellheim, Washington, D.C., five grandchildren, one great grandson, and sister, Cora Neuman, Borg Memorial Home, Mountain, ND.
Bill was also preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Herman, George, Henry, and John Sellheim, Jr., sisters, Bertha Lucht, Minnie Clow, and Violet Ault.
