Willard Lesher

Willard W. Lesher, 92, of Cavalier, ND passed away on Friday, June 25, 2010, at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 2, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation on Thursday, July 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Burial in the Cavalier Cemetery.
Willard was born November 25, 1917, the fifth child of Harry and Ina (Hawk) Lesher. He served in the National Guard and was employed by Fisher Farms. Willard was an avid gardener and sports fans and attended every Cavalier High School football game for many years.
On September 1, 1940, he married Marian Gestson at Cavalier, ND. Marian passed away on November 27, 2005.
Survivors include his daughters, Darlean (David) Gibson, Sparks, NV and their daughter, Amber; Kathleen (James) Boggis, Garden Grove, CA, their son Terry; daughters Jennifer, her children Taylor and Stormy; Shannon and her children Danielle and James; sisters, Opal Hall, Red Oak, TX and Florence Johnston, Cavalier, ND; sisters-in-law, Betty Lesher, Cavalier and Doreen Sundeen, Detroit Lakes, MN; a very loving niece, Ila (Joe) Martindale and several other nieces and nephews.
Also preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Leonard, Gale, Lyle, and Harry; and sisters, Lillian, Viola, Faye, and Lorraine.
Clergy: Rev. Lori Broschat.
Casket Bearers: Jim Boggis, Dave Gibson,Don Johnston, Lee Lesher,Joe Martindale, and Dennis Schaler.
Music: Rodger Hartz, Soloist and Cheryl Hartz, Organist.
