Warren Hart

Warren C. Hart, 97, of Cavalier, ND, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014, at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Warren was born on October 20, 1916 to Arthur and Mary (Bernath) Hart in Joliette Township of Pembina County, ND, where he grew up. He attended school in McArthur and graduated from Pembina High School. He served in the US Army during WWII from 1941 to 1945 in the Pacific Theater, attaining the rank of Sergeant. Following his military service, he returned to the family farm where he farmed with his brother Milfred until 1979.

On July 4, 1948, he married Betty Jane Peabody in East Grand Forks, MN. She passed away January 4, 2006.

He was a member of the Joliette Methodist Church, A.S.C.S. Board, Pembina County Water Board, and Cavalier American Legion, Lavern J. Thompson Post #11. Warren served on the Joliette Township Board as a supervisor and also a director of the Joliette Farmers Grain.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Also preceding him in death were his parents and brother Milfred.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Pembina Pioneer Methodist Church. Burial will be held at the Pembina Cemetery.
