Walter Marchell

Walter Marchell, 80, of Langdon, ND died Friday, August 7, 2009 at Maple Manor Care Center, Langdon.

Walter was born on December 3, 1928 near Wales, ND to Adolf and Ida (Domres) Marchell. He was united in marriage to Darlene Euscher on October 31, 1954 at Stirum, ND. They made their home on the family farm where Walter farmed and they raised their six children. In 2005 they moved into Langdon. Walter had a wonderful sense of humor and thoroughly enjoyed fishing and hunting with his family and grandchildren.

Walter is survived by his wife of 54 years, Darlene. His children, Wayne Marchell of Thornton, CO, Susan Marchell (Randy Schlotman) Grand Forks, ND, Dennis (Karen) Marchell of Park Rapids, MN, David (Tracy) Marchell of Atascadero, CA, Douglas Marchell of San Jose, CA, Darwin (Delaine) Marchell of Leander, TX; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild that is yet to be born, all of which he loved so dearly; Brothers: Ray (Carol) Marchell of Osnabrock, ND, Paul (Penny) Marchell of Buxton, ND; Sisters: Edna Bata of Langdon, Dorine Baker of Mankato, MN.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents, brother Eldon Marchell, and sister Betty Geyton.

VISITATION will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2009 from 6-7 pm at the Brooks Funeral Home in Langdon.

PRAYER SERVICE will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2009 at 7 pm at the Brooks Funeral Home in Langdon.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Monday, August 10, 2009 at 2 pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Langdon.

INTERMENT will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Dresden, ND.
