Walter Domres

Walter Domres, 89, of Langdon, ND passed away Thursday August 10, 2006 at the Maple Manor Care Center of Langdon, ND.

Walter F. Domres was born August 28, 1916 to August and Pauline (Kuball) Domres in South Dresden Township, Cavalier County, ND. He grew up and attended school in South Dresden Township. Walter and Irene Blake were united in marriage on October 3, 1937 at the Methodist Church in Wales, ND. They lived and farmed in the Wales area. Walter and Irene retired in 1973 and moved to Langdon, ND. They wintered in Mesa, AZ. Irene passed away October 24, 1995. Walter was united in marriage to Marie Miller in 1997, she passed away in 2002. Walter was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and later the United Lutheran Church, served on the Minto School Board, as Minto Township Treasurer and on the ASC Board.

Walter is survived by his children: Leota (Tom) Mikkelsen of Langdon, ND; Jerry (Bev) Domres of Langdon, ND; and Judy (Neil) Evans of Langdon, ND; grandchildren: Dan (Susan) Mikkelsen of Denver, CO; Julie (Tim) Quick along with Payne, Dawson and Regan of Chaska, MN; Lisa Mikkelsen of New York City, NY; Jodi (Jerry) Hipp along with Tabitha and Blake of Langdon, ND; Lynn (Janelle) Domres along with Jayla, Tara, Ryan of Wales, ND; Jean William along with Tess and Tru of Stillwater, MN; Debbie (Greg) Goschke along with Bailey of Olso, MN; Susie Evans of Stillwater and Eddy Evans of Langdon, ND, sisters Elsie VanDenBurg of Fargo, ND and Alma Metzler of Stevens Point, WI along with numberous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Irene, second wife Marie, grandson Steven Domres and brothers and sisters; Henry Domres, Ida Marchell, Emelia Rapske, Frank Domres, William Domres, Hilda Joachim, Charles Domres and Albert Domres.

VISITATION will take place from 2 to 4pm Sunday August 13, 2006 at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon . Visitation will also take place for one hour before the time of the services at the church on Monday.

PRAYER SERVICE 7:00pm Sunday evening at the United Lutheran Church of Langdon.

SERVICES 10:00 O �clock Monday August 14, 2006 at the United Lutheran Church of Langdon, ND.

INTERMENT Lebanon Cemetery of Langdon, ND.
