Vivian M. Carpenter, 82, of Walhalla, ND passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2013, at the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital, Langdon, ND. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00p.m. at the Walhalla Lutheran Church, Walhalla, ND. urial will be held in the Hillside Cemetery, Walhalla. Arrangements with Nelson-Askew Funeral Home, Walhalla, ND.
Vivian M. Berg was born November 4, 1930 near Walhalla, ND, to Norris and Alva (Dalzell) Berg. She grew up in the Walhalla area and graduated from Walhalla High School with honors.
On November 29, 1948, she married Homer "Mickey" Carpenter in Walhalla. After their marriage they farmed in Fremont Township. In 1979, they moved into Walhalla. Mickey passed away on November 12, 1997.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren, fishing, and photography.
Survivors include her sons: Larry of Grand Forks, ND, Randy (Nancy) John (Gaye), Norris, Danny (Roberta) all of Walhalla, Rani (Wendy), Grand Forks, Scott (Cheryl), Parachute, CO; daughters: Barbara (Dan) Lamping, Langdon, ND, Mary (Manley) Bennett and Nancy Carpenter, both of Walhalla; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; sister, Mabel Stegman, Cavalier, ND.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; grandsons, Christopher Lamping and Jack Bennett; brothers, Glenn and Ivan Berg.
Clergy: Anna Mae Mineke, Lay Preacher; Casket Bearers: Keith Berg, Jeff Carpenter, Tim Carpenter, Kent Dalzell, David Phillips, Mark Stegman.
