Viola J. Peterson

Viola J. Peterson, 86, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral service will be held Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. 

Viola Clark was born July 18, 1938, at Walhalla, ND, to Manuel and Helen (Longie) Clark. She grew up and attended school in Walhalla. She married Roy Mecham, and together they had one son, Thomas Mecham. She later married Kenny Styles and Lloyd Peterson. 

She enjoyed being a homemaker, and loved baking, canning, cooking, and gardening. 

She is survived by her sisters, Stella Styles, Walhalla, ND, Gladys (Darrell) Solbakken, Glenburn, ND, and Barbara Dearinger, Leroy, ND; brother, Jerry Clark, Minneapolis, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Thomas; husbands, Roy Mecham, Kenny Styles, and Lloyd Peterson; sisters, Alice, Dorothy, and Mary Ellen; and brothers, Tommy, Allen, and Robert.
