Viola Specht, the daughter of Michael and Agnes (Ducioame) White, was born on April 6, 1921 at Walhalla, North Dakota. She was raised and Walhalla and also received her education there. Viola remained at home and worked until her marriage.
She was united in marriage to Henry Specht on September 22, 1938 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Walhalla, and the couple lived outside of town during the early years of their marriage and later moved into town.
Viola enjoyed car trips with Henry, and was an avid card player. She loved to entertain friends and family in her home. She also remained active in her church and its activities.
Left to cherish her memory are two brothers: Duane White of Grand Forks, ND and Leonard White of Jamestown, ND; four sisters: Priscilla Stewart of Owatonna, MN, Louella Holtzinger of Minneapolis, MN, Aneila Gurske of Valley City, ND, and Beverly White of Fridley, MN; her beloved nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Viola was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Henry in 1993; and three brothers: Joe White, Richard "Mickey" White, and Amie White.
