Vic A. Voecks

Vic A. Voecks, 69, of Hamilton, ND passed away Monday, August 24, 2015, at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Our Savior Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be held in the Hamilton Cemetery.
Vicke A. Voecks was born September 1, 1945, at Grafton, ND to Arthur and Gladys (McEwen) Voecks. He attended school in Hamilton, ND, having graduated in 1963. He then attended Hanson Trade School in Fargo.
Vic served in the North Dakota National Guard. He was also a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Cavalier, ND.
On July 3, 1966, Vic was united in marriage to Carol A. Furstenau at Cavalier, ND. Together they farmed on the family farmstead until his retirement. Carol passed away October 25, 2013.
Survivors include his children: Kristy Voecks, Minot, ND and Darin Voecks, Paynesville, MN; granddaughter, Abby Voecks. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Edna Furstenau and brothers-in-law: Garnet (Kay) Furstenau, Roger Furstenau, Jeff (Pam) Furstenau.
Also preceding him in death were his parents and half-sister, Mabel Draper.
