Twyla Devine

Twyla Devine, 61, of Langdon, ND passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Twyla was born February 9, 1953 to Danny and Donna Devine in Langdon, ND. She went to school at Harvey Centre and then graduated from Langdon High School in 1971. After attending Lake Region Jr. College and becoming an LPN, she worked at Maple Manor Nursing Home in Langdon before moving to Milwaukee, WI. In Wisconsin, she continued her education graduating from Cardinal Stritch University Milwaukee in 1982 and Alverno College Milwaukee in 1986. Twyla worked in long-term care facilities, hospice, and the last years as a public health nurse for the city of Milwaukee. She was always giving to people through her time and really cared for people, which was evident in her 40 years of service as a nurse. Twyla loved flowers and had a special place in her heart for her cats.

Twyla is survived by her mother, Donna Devine of Langdon, ND; brother Tim (Myrna) Devine of Langdon; nephews: Justin Devine (Tina Ross) of Ft. Worth, TX, Derek (Stephanie) Devine of Plymouth, MN, Michael (Raquel) Berg of Wyoming, MN; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and numerous friends in Milwaukee, WI. She was preceded in death by father Danny Devine, her grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. at the Brooks Funeral Home in Langdon, ND with visitation starting at 2:00 p.m..
