Tom Grube age 65 of Pembina, ND died on Thursday, February 11, 2010, at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. at the Pembina Evangelical Free Church, Pembina, ND.
Thomas F. Grube was born July 12, 1944, at Grand Forks, ND to Edward and Helen (Bjarnason) Grube. He grew up in Grand Forks and attended Grand Forks Central High School. Tom served in the U.S. Army as a medic and was stationed in Germany. After his discharge from the service he worked for Lystads, Great Northern Railroad, and as a meat inspector for the U.S.D.A. Tom also owned and operated Grube Construction. Tom was married to Dena Guenther.
He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed his lake cabin in Canada, hauling beets in the fall for Warner and Wilwand Farms, and watching hockey. He was a member of the Kern-Thompson Post #77 of the Pembina American Legion.
Survivors include his daughter, Angela (Dean) Pesch, East Grand Forks, MN; grandchildren, Jayden, Jace, Lauren, and Judd Pesch, Robyn Pesch and Morgan Olson; great granddaughter, Lucy Pesch; special friend, Farol Ranes, Pembina, ND; sisters, Gene Warner, Pembina and Gayle (Pat) Budge, Grand Forks, ND and brother, Jay Grube, Santa Teresa, NM.
Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Paul Grube; brother, Gary Grube; sister-in-law, Dora Mae Grube; brother-in-law, Leo Warner; two nieces, Paula Grube Johnson and Jeananne Budge and one great nephew, Ryan Warner.
Clergy: Rev. Mason Peters.
Military Rites by the Kern-Thompson Post #77, Pembina American Legion.
Honorary Pallbearers: Brian Budge, David Grube, Duane Grube, Jay Underberg, Bryan Warner, Darrell Warner, and Gary Warner.
