Todd Peterson

Todd D. Peterson, 56, of Langdon, ND, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Todd was born October 14, 1963, in Langdon to Larry and Janice (Heck) Peterson.  He attended school in Langdon and then went to AVTI in East Grand Forks for welding.  He held various jobs as a mill wright and worked on the family farm for many years. When working as a mill wright, he was usually the foreman and was able to travel to many different areas of the United States. Lately, he had worked various jobs in construction and maintained trucks for Spicer’s in Grand Forks. In his younger years, Todd enjoyed motorcycles, snowmobiling, skiing, and playing baseball with his neighbors. He also enjoyed golfing, softball, bowling, fishing, and hunting.

Surviving Todd are his parents, Larry and Janice Peterson, of Langdon; sister Twana (Terry) Dick of Stanley, ND; brother Trent (Tonya) Peterson of Langdon; nieces and nephews: Cassandra, Jonathon, Jacob & Amanda Dick and Drew & Abby Peterson; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded by his grandparents, Lester & Florence Peterson and Charles & Florence Heck; aunts and uncles: David Heck, Selmer Heck, Gordon (Bernice) Heck, Richard Close, Willard Thompson, Lois Heck, & Caroline Knutson; and cousins: Clint Close and Steven Heck.

An open visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2020, at Brooks Funeral Home in Langdon. Due to COVID-19, the family will not be present during the visitation.  A graveside service and burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2020, at Vang Cemetery, rural Langdon.
