Thomas C. Winkler

Thomas C. Winkler age 23 of Cavalier, ND died on Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Cavalier. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 11, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Brigid of Ireland Catholic Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 10th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the church. Visitation at church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the St.Brigid of Ireland Cemetery.
Thomas Carl Winkler was born April 14, 1984, at Cavalier, ND to Robert Carl and Robin (Doyle) Winkler. He attended the St. Bridget's Catholic Church, where he was baptized, confirmed, and attended CCD. Tom grew up in Cavalier and attended Cavalier Public School and Walhalla High School, where he was active in basketball and football. In 2003, he earned his GED. He was employed with his father at Winkler Construction.
Tom was a fun loving, generous, good hearted person, he will be missed. He enjoyed fishing, music, and received many ribbons for his art work.
He is survived by his parents, Bob and Karen Winkler, Fargo, ND and Robin Winkler, New England, ND; brother, Robert James Winkler, Breckenridge, MN; sister, Rhea Winkler, Fargo, ND; nieces and nephews, Abby, Taylor, and Bradley; grandparents, Carl and Rose Ann Winkler, Cavalier, ND; Jimmy and Corrine Doyle, Leroy, ND; Gene and Erma Uecker, Walhalla, ND; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Tom was preceded in death by great grandparents, Bill and Hadie Winkler, Bill and Gertrude McMillan, George and Yvonne Doyle, Charles and Annette Arends.
