Thomas Denver Biby, 74, formerly of Wales, ND, died May 20, 2014 at the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center of Bismarck, ND.
Thomas was born December 20, 1939 in Akron, Ohio, the son of Denver and Alberta ââ¬ÅRuthââ¬Å¥ Duke and the second of six children. He graduated high school from Clyde Public School in 1959. He married Deanna Lynn Woodrow on July 17, 1963 in Enid, Oklahoma. After being discharged from the U.S. Army in October 1964, he graduated from the ND State School of Science, Wahpeton. The couple purchased the Helgeson farmstead in Cavalier County in 1971 and made it their home. They retired from farming and purchased the Hannah Bar in 1998. They owned and managed the bar until 2003. Deanna passed away November 17, 2004. In 2008, he moved to Bismarck to live with his daughter and family and moved into Maple View Memory Care Center in September 2010 and into Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in August 2012.
Thomas was known for his good humor, his friendly outgoing personality, his love of music and dancing and his smiles.
He is survived by his children: Tamara (Lawrence) King of Bismarck, Terry (Melissa) Biby of Munich, Tim Biby of Grand Forks; his grandchildren: Samantha, Erik and Isaac King of Bismarck, Denver, Dawson and Dexter Biby of Munich and Hannah, Clyde and Julia Biby of Grand Forks; sister Nancy Holt of Pensacola, FL; brother Robert Biby of Pacifica, CA; brother William (Gayle) Biby of Argusville, ND; sister-in-law Patricia Woodrow of Hannah and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Deanna, his parents Denver and Ruth Biby, his brothers Richard and John and his brother-in-law Daryl Woodrow.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the United Methodist Church of Langdon, ND.
Visitation will be Monday, May 26, 2014 from 6 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND.
Burial will be at the Hannah Cemetery, Hannah.
