Thelma C. Crowston age 92 of Cavalier, ND, died on Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at the Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the funeral home for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Andvari Cemetery, rural Cavalier, ND
Thelma C. Pudil was born October 7, 1914, at Backoo, ND, to Frank and Elizabeth (Loeser) Pudil. She grew up in the Backoo and Svold areas, and attended school at Svold.
On October 29, 1934, she married John W. Crowston at Cavalier. After their marriage they farmed in the Hallson area, where she lived for 72 years. In May of 2006, she became a resident of the Wedgewood Manor.
She enjoyed flower gardening, quilting, and baking. Thelma was a member of the Hallson Lutheran Church and Hallson Ladies Aide.
Thelma is survived by her daughter, Judith (Dennis) Kemp, Park River, ND; grandchildren, John (Jeanine) Kemp, Burlington, IA; Scott (Doreen) Kemp and Debbie (Scott) Midgarden, all of Fort Collins, CO; Mark Crowston, Fargo, ND; Curtis (Kim) Crowston, Kindred, ND; Kathy (Dan) Dyer, Aurora, CO; great-grandchildren, Joy and Jeremy Kemp; Annika and Karah Midgarden; Kianna and Carter Crowston; Marah and Casey McKay; sister, Mildred Kotchman, Cavalier, ND; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John on September 28, 2000; son, Errol; brothers, Howard, Donald, and Leslie Pudil; and sisters, Mae Crowston and Dorothy Geiger.
