Steven Dietz

Steven Dietz, 50, of Alsen, ND, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014.

Steven was born November 3, 1963, at Devils Lake, ND, to Harold and Juliette (Marcotte) Dietz. He grew up on the family farm near Alsen, ND, and attended school in Langdon. He worked in South Dakota, for a short time in Minnesota, and then worked near Wishek, ND. He worked at Hormel and Ameripride in Bismarck before moving back to the Alsen area in 2011 and working as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed his work, being on the farm, and loved to help people.

Steven is survived by his fiance LaRaine Hopp of Alsen; siblings: Timothy Dietz of Blanchard, ND, Margaret (Carmen) Ewert of Langdon, ND, Janine (Jeff) Lovold of Roseau, MN and dear friends Albert and Jane Koehmstedt along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Paul and Dale, and niece Scarlett.

Services will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Evangelical Church of Langdon.
