Stanley Schill

Stanley Schill, 99, of Langdon, ND passed away Wednesday July 22, 2009 at the Maple Manor Care Center of Langdon, ND.

Stanley was born November 14, 1909 at Mt. Carmel, ND to Valentine and Mathilda (Koehmstedt) Schill.

He was united in marriage to Eileen Hoffarth on October 15, 1940. They made their home in Mt. Carmel Township, Cavalier County where they farmed, ranched, and raised their family. They retired from farming in 1982 and moved to Grand Forks. They moved to Langdon in 1996. They were members of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and he was in the Knights of Columbus. Stanley loved John Deere anything. He was a talented handy man and could fix most anything with his pliers in his hands.

He is survived by his children: Gerald (Ruth) Schill of Fargo, ND; Darlene Girodat of Maida, ND; Lois Benoit of Langdon, ND; Ronald (Lenna) Schill of Maida, ND; daughter-in-law Kathy Schill of Hillsboro, ND; 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, brother: Joseph Schill of Hannah, ND and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Eileen, son Allen S. Schill, sons-in-law Clifford Girodat and Robert Benoit, brothers: Peter, William, Alexander, Clarence, Herbert, and Jerome.

VISITATION will take place from 2 to 5 pm on Sunday July 26, 2009 at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon

PRAYER SERVICE and ROSARY 7pm Sunday evening at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon, ND.

SERVICES will take place at 10:00 O �Clock on Monday July 27, 2009 at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church of Mt. Carmel, ND.

Interment will take place in the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church Cemetery of Mt. Carmel, ND.

Luncheon and Fellowship will follow the burial at the St. Alphonsus School Cafeteria in Langdon, ND.
