Sophia D. Nordstrom

Sophia D. Nordstrom, age 76, of Grafton, ND and formerly of Hamilton, ND, died on Saturday, July 21, 2007, at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the funeral home for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Hamilton Cemetery.
Sophia Dorothy Wollenberg was born July 30, 1930, at home in Carlisle Township of Pembina County near Hamilton, to Gustave and Mollie (Lindenberger) Wollenberg. After her education, she taught school in Grand Forks and Pembina Counties.
On October 2, 1955, she married Edward J. Nordstrom at Joliette, ND. Edward passed away on June 9, 2006.
Sophia enjoyed baking, gardening, babysitting grandchildren, walking, and loved her cats and dogs.
She is survived by her children, Randy (Sandy) Nordstrom, Bathgate, ND; Patti (Steve) Nordstrom and Jackie (Jason) Nordstrom, all of Grafton, ND; grandchildren, Travis, Matt, Amanda,
Heather, and Hannah; and great-grandchild, Natalie.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Debra; and brother, John.
Clergy: Rev. Beth Peterson.
Casket Bearers: Larry Collins, Glen Gunderson, Randy Lietz, Bob Lindenberger, Carson Martin, and Mike Nordstrom.
