Shirley B. Penn

Shirley B. Penn age 74 of Hamilton, ND., died on Thursday, February 10, 2005, at her residence near Hamilton. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Hamilton Cemetery, Hamilton, ND.
Shirley B. Paxman the daughter of Gordon L. and Mary (Bates) Paxman, was born on May 9, 1930, at Grafton, ND. She grew up and attended school in the Hamilton area and later attended nursing school in Long Beach, CA.
On September 12, 1952, she married Wayne Penn in California and they resided in San Francisco and Oakland. Shirley worked at a doctor's office in Oakland. Shirley and Wayne later owned and operated a steel rule dies business. In 1970, she returned to Hamilton where she made her home.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Berkley, CA., where she served her chapter as Worthy Matron.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Penn, Rohnert Park, CA., David (Cheryl) Penn, Pacheco, CA., John Penn, Seattle, WA., Shirley Ann Penn, Michael (Tina) Penn, Moorhead, MN., eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, sisters, Betty Colleen Crosthwaite, San Diego, CA., Sharon (Don) McMillan, Hamilton, ND., and Maureen (Gene) Miller, Millington, TN.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Gordon Bruce, George W., and Gary L. Paxman, and sister, Patricia Paxman
