Shirley A. Kopf

Shirley A. Kopf age 69 of Cavalier, ND died on Monday, July 18, 2005, at St. Jude Medical Center, Fullerton, CA. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cavalier Presbyterian Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 25th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the Cavalier Presbyterian Church. Burial in the Cavalier Cemetery. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Shirley A. Peterson was born December 8, 1935, at Backoo, ND the daughter of Eric A. and Minnie H. (Carlson) Peterson. She grew up and attended school in Backoo and then attended Cavalier Public School where she graduated from high school. Shirley then attended Mayville State Teachers College, graduating with a degree in elementary education. After graduation she taught in Pembina Co for 11 years, she then worked various jobs in Cavalier and for the past 23 years has worked at the Wedgewood Manor.
On August 17, 1956, she married Harold Kopf at the Cavalier Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Harold, children, Kirk (Diane) Kopf, Anaheim, CA, and Eryca (Tom) Rieland, St. Cloud, MN, grandchildren, Skyler, Carter, and Theo Rieland, and Bruce and Brianna Mitchell, sister, Ruth (Duane) Morrison, Neche, ND, and brother, Carl (Shirley) Peterson, New Brighton, MN.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, Garry, brothers, Ray and Melvin Peterson, and sisters, Lois Hartz and Esther Helgoe
