Sandra ââ¬ÅShrimpyââ¬Å¥ Rosscup, 64, of Cavalier, ND passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014, at her winter home in Thonotosassa, FL. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. A time of sharing and luncheon will then be held at the Cavalier Senior Citizens Center at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 22nd. Burial will be held in the Rolla Cemetery, Rolla, ND.
Sandra ââ¬ÅShrimpyââ¬Å¥ Alger was born July 31, 1949, at Portland Oregon to Esta and Marion (Burke) Alger. She grew up in the Portland area and graduated from Clackamas High School. While in Oregon she worked as a bookkeeper and at A-Boy Supply.
On August 19, 1974, she married David Rosscup in Vancouver, WA. In 1975 they moved to Perth, ND, where she worked as a house cleaner and nurseââ¬â¢s aide at the Rolla Hospital. They later lived in Hansboro, ND, Bisbee, ND, Regan, ND, Felton, MN, Fessenden, ND, and then to Cavalier, where Dave managed grain elevators. She worked as an L.P.N., coordinator of senior meals in Towner County, Tupperware salesperson, part time and full time at the various grain elevators, and a member of the Felton Rescue Squad.
She enjoyed helping people, bringing food and helping out at the grain elevators in any way she could, raising funds for various charitable causes, traveling, bingo, and going to casinos. Shrimpy especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her beloved pets.
Survivors include her husband, Dave; children: Eugene (Gloria) Rosscup, Corpus Christi, TX, Sherri (Tom) Schreiner, Ulen, MN, Cory (Tammy) Kishpaugh, Beechgrove, TN; grandchildren: Brittany and Brandon Allen; Stephanie (Travis) and Brandon Michael; Austin, Bradley, and Sierra; great grandchildren: Nathan and Sophia, who was born two days after Shrimpyââ¬â¢s passing; Madelyn and Tucker.
Preceding her in death were her parents; siblings: Ronald and Darlene.
