Sandra Knudson-Weeks

Sandra Knudson Weeks age 62, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend of Billings, MT and formerly of Walhalla, ND passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN, after a short fight with lung cancer. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 7, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla, ND. Burial in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Walhalla, ND.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 11, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Billings, MT.
Sandra Knudson was born February 8, 1945, in the Langdon Hospital to Everett and Delores (Morin) Knudson of Walhalla. She attended and graduated from Walhalla High School and went on to x-ray tech school at the Grand Forks Clinic, where she worked for four years.
On July 6, 1968, she married C. James Weeks at the St. Boniface Catholic Church. Shortly after their marriage they moved to the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and later settled in Billings, MT. She spent most of her adult life in Billings.
Sandy, as she was known to her many friends, worked at St. Vincent's Health Care Center as a ward secretary in the oncology department for 18 years.
She enjoyed knitting, especially afghans for babies, friends, and family. Other interests included gardening, decorating her home, and loved having special time with her dear grandchildren.
Sandy was a loving and caring soul who always put others first. She will be deeply missed by her family and the countless numbers of friends who had the privilege of knowing her.
Survivors include her sons, Brian (Nikki) Weeks, San Diego, CA and Michael Weeks, Minneapolis, MN; daughter, Shannon (Brett) Bollinger, Missoula, MT; grandchildren, Andrew and Luke Bollinger and Brendan; sisters, Sharon (John) Stranger and Wanda (Bill) Graveline, all of Grand Forks, ND; and brother, Wayne (Carol) Knudson, Cary, IL.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Billy and niece, Bethany Graveline.
Celebrants: Rev. Fr. Thomas Krupich and Deacon Jim Carpenter.
