Russell Kirby, 93, died Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Elim Care Center of Fargo, ND.

Russell Orville Kirby was born February 4, 1922 in Langdon, ND He married Joyce LaPorte on September 1, 1960 in Langdon. Russell lived the majority of his life in the Langdon and Cavalier area. His later years were spent with his daughters in Isanti, MN and Fargo, ND.

Russell is survived by and will be greatly missed by his daughters: Diane (Steve) Wellborn of Colorado, Beverly (Earl) Dunnigan of Walhalla, ND, Jennifer Lafferty of Fargo, and Janice (Chad) Mitshulis of Isanti, MN; and grandchildren: Allison Wellborn, Douglas Wellborn, and Landon Wellborn - all of Colorado, Ryan Dunnigan of Walhalla, and Blaine Dunnigan, Sam Lafferty and Hanna Lafferty – all of Fargo, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Joyce; daughter Barbara; and siblings Edith, Alice and Morris.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Brooks Funeral Home in Langdon, ND. Visitation will take place one hour prior to service time. Interment – Oaklawn Cemetery, rural Walhalla, ND.
