Ruby A. Rustan age 82 of Edinburg, ND died on Monday, March 17, 2008, at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 20, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Cavalier Cemetery. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Ruby A. Steinke was born October 21, 1925, at Backoo, ND to Fred and Pauline (Schlinder) Steinke. She grew up and attended school in the Leyden area.
On June 28, 1963, she married Ralph J. Rustan at Crookston, MN. After their marriage they lived in the Edinburg area. For many years she worked as a nurses aide at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital in Cavalier. She was a resident of the Borg Memorial Home, Mountain, ND and the Pembilier Nursing Center, Walhalla, ND. Ralph died on September 12, 2003.
She is survived by her son, Don (Mary Jane) Johnson, Cavalier, ND; grandchildren, Tracee (Randy) Heck and Brian Johnson; great grandchildren, Hunter and Hailee Heck; sister, Olive Pelton, Duncan, OK.
Also preceding her in death were her parent;, a granddaughter; sisters, Wanda Kesser, Lydia Williams, Emma Radu; and brothers, Bill and Paul Steinke.
Clergy: Rev. Lori Broschat.
Music: Connie Steiger, Organist and Jim Hines, Soloist.
