Ruby Gasink

Ruby V. Gasink, 92, of Walhalla, ND passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 19, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Walhalla Lutheran Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held at the church one hour before the time of services. Burial will be held in the Numedahl Cemetery, Walhalla, ND. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Pembilier Nursing Center , Walhalla or the Walhalla Ambulance Service.
Ruby V. Halvorson was born April 15, 1922, at Numedahl the daughter of Halvor and Gunhild (Frogne) Halvorson. She grew up and attended school in Numedahl and worked for area farmers. On December 7, 1944, she married Herbert Gasink at Walhalla.
She was fond of doing crossword puzzles, knitting, crocheting, and needlework. Others things she enjoyed were walking, four wheeling, attending craft shows and threshing bees. She and Herb also enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include her sons: Robert Gasink, Walhalla, ND and Galen (Marlene) Gasink, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren: Christopher Gasink, and Elizabeth (Joshua) Amundson; great-granddaughter, Sakura Amundson; special grandchildren: Mikka, Tiffany, Tia, Shandy, Tyler, Teimey; special great-grandchildren: Colton, Garret, Amelie, Kaleigh, Bryton, Keiyn, Braelyn, Reese.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Herbert on March 25, 2003; sisters: Annie, Helen, Olive, Esther, Nora, Gladys, and Lillian; brothers: Christian, Henry, and Gilbert.
