Ruby C. Crosby

Ruby C. Crosby age 94 of Cavalier, ND died on Sunday, January 4, 2009, at the Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. the First United Methodist Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 6th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services.
Ruby C. Vaughn was born August 18, 1914, at Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada to John and Ellen (Puschinsky) Vaughn. She grew up and attended school in Cavalier.
On October 25, 1933, she married John Crosby at Cavalier. After their marriage they farmed in the Cavalier area until their retirement in 1976. In 1985, they moved into Cavalier.
Some of the things Ruby enjoyed were dancing, playing cards, baking, crocheting, and sewing.
She is survived by her husband, John, grandchildren, Larry (Diane) Crosby, Plainwell, MI, Robert (Kathy) Crosby, Lawrence, MI, Sheila Crosby Stevens, Coloma, MI, Randy Crosby, Wildwood, FL, Donald, Jr. (Tracy) Crosby Valparaiso, IN, Shonda Crosby, and several great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, son, Donald Crosby, grandson, Richard Crosby, 10 sisters, and four brothers.

Casket Bearers: Rick Brown, Ronald Freschett, Gilbert Hornbaker, Ronald Jenson, Harold Kopf, and Duane Rene.
