Rozella McKay age 72 of Donaldson, MN formerly of Walhalla, ND died on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 10:30 am at the Walhalla Lutheran Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00-7:00 pm with a 7:00 pm prayer service at the church. Also for an hour before the time of service on Saturday.
Rozella L. Gallaway was born September 16, 1937, at Maida, ND to James and Molly (Hiller) Gallaway. She grew up in the Vang area.
In September of 1966, she married John McKay at Port Townsen, WA. She worked as a cook in various restaurants, the Legion Club in Grafton, and the Pioneer Rest Home, Bathgate, ND. Rozella enjoyed baking bread and buns, hunting with her husband, John, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, John; children, Wayne Buckholz, Grand Forks, ND, Janice Gorsuch, Twin Lake, MI, Elaine Buckholz, Drayton, ND, Joan Buckholz, Hoople, ND, Rosalie McKay, Walhalla, ND, Cheryl Martens, Crystal, ND, Joyce McKay, Stephen, MN, Bonita (Tracey) Crawford, Walhalla, ND, Jonathan McKay, Hoople, ND, William (Tania) McKay, Walhalla, ND, 32 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sisters, Gladys Johnson, Pisek, ND, Eileen (Ed) McKay, Grand Forks, ND, and Hazel (Glenn) Bernaas, Edinburg, ND.
Preceding her in death were her parents, granddaughter, Ashley Martens, brothers, Stanley, Melvin, and Sidney, and sister, Ruby Johnson.
Clergy: Rev. Ryan Fischer.
