Rose Shanker

Rose Shanker, 93, formerly of Langdon, ND died May 15, 2008 at Bethany Nursing Home in Fargo, ND.

Rose Shanker was born November 26, 1914, the daughter of Nicholas and Anna (Pollock) Shanker, in Loma, ND. She grew up in Manilla Township, Cavalier County. She worked for the Snowfield family, for Oscar Devold’s at his Five and Dime store for many years, was a secretary at the Farm Bureau Office in Langdon and did demo’s at the Warehouse Foods.

She is survived by her sister Jean (Norm) Maynard, Fargo; sister-in-law Mary Shankar of Langdon, ND, 3 nephews and nieces and 5 great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard, sisters Helen Hamann, Mary Cummings and Francis Shankar.

VISITATION will begin at 5pm Monday with a 7:30pm Prayer Service at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND. Visitation will also take place for one hour before the time of the services at the church on Tuesday.

FUNERAL SERVICES will be held on Tuesday May 20, 2008 at 1:00pm at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon, ND
