Roni M. Lindsay

Roni M. Lindsay age 53 of Bathgate, ND died on Thursday, September 4, 2008, at her home surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Friday, September 5th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Roni Marie Henschel was born March 15, 1955, at Grand Forks, ND to Rienhold and Donna (Wolfgram) Henschel. She grew up in the Bathgate area and attended school at Bathgate and Neche. In 1973, she graduated from Neche High School and then attended Bill's Hairdressing School in Grand Forks.
On October11, 1974, she married Dennis Lindsay at Cavalier. After their marriage they lived in Bathgate. She ran a daycare from her home, worked as activity director at the Pioneer Rest Home in Bathgate, was a waitress at the Joliette Express and Chuckwagon Café. Roni also helped Dennis on the farm and her mom at Rieney's Bar in Bathgate. She especially enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and going with her friends to various casinos and yard work. Roni was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Neche, ND.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis; children, Shawn (Margaux) Lindsay, Cavalier, ND; Heather Lyn Lindsay, Neche, ND., Matthew Lindsay, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Carsen and Meris Lindsay; mother, Donna Henschel, Bathgate, ND; and brother, Bruce (Cindy) Henschel, Glasston, ND.
Roni was preceded in death by her father, Rienhold.
