Ronald Romfo

Ronald Romfo, 81, of Langdon, ND passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at his home in Langdon.

Ronald was born on January 8, 1933 to Oscar and Hilda (Stone) Romfo on the family farm near Harvey Centre. He attended school in Langdon. Ronald married Cecelia Groff on October 3, 1953. They farmed near Hannah until retiring in 1977. They continued to live on the farm until moving to Langdon in 1991. Ronald helped his sons farm even after retiring. Ronald and Cece enjoyed their winters in Yuma, AZ. Ronald loved mechanics and fixing and repairing. When he got to Yuma, there was usually a yard full of things for him to work on. He especially enjoyed helping Brad & Janet Bloxham with their rock climbing trucks. They were his family down in Arizona. Ronald was a member of the Langdon Eagles Aerie #3454 and enjoyed visiting when he stopped in. He had many friends in both Langdon and Yuma.

Ronald is survived by his children: Richard (Peggy) of Hannah, ND, Douglas (Karla) of Gilbert, AZ, Tamera Bodnar of Langdon, ND; grandchildren: Tina (Mike) Tiseth, April (Brandon) Smith, Becky Zbasnik , Kevin (Samantha) Romfo, Stephanie (Russ) Kautzman, Heather (Dustin) Lundeby, Tyler (Courtney) Bodnar; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Cecelia, infant son Randy, son-in-law Jim Bodnar, and siblings: Shirley (Stanley) Rosenberg, Sterling (Ida) Romfo, Ralph Romfo and Ramona Romfo.

Services will be held Monday, May 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at United Lutheran Church of Langdon, ND.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, May 11, 2014 from 3-5:00 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND and one hour prior to service time at the church on Monday.
