Rolland C. Beauchamp, 90, Fargo, ND and formerly of Walhalla, ND passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley at Eventide Care Center in Fargo, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2019, at the St Boniface Catholic Church in Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 6:45 p.m. Rosary and 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the church. Interment will be held in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Walhalla.
Rolland C. Beauchamp was born October 29, 1928, to Aristide and Cordelia (Gendreau) Beauchamp. He was born and raised on the family farm north of Olga, ND, with ten brothers and sisters. He graduated from the eighth grade from Olga Public School then started farming with his dad and his brother, Richard. On June 20, 1962, he married Lorraine Zettel.
He loved spending time with his family, farming, doing carpentry work, gardening, canning, baking, decorating for Christmas, and entertaining. He was known for his ability to require perfection with his work. In 1990, he retired from farming and moved into Walhalla in 1996. Due to failing health, Rolland and Lorraine moved to Fargo in 2017. Rolland moved to the Eventide Care Center in February of 2019.
He was an active member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Olga and St. Boniface Catholic Church of Walhalla. Rolland was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus. He served as a Trustee and Eucharistic Minister for many years at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; children: Lorrie (Bradley) Berg, Fargo, ND, Kimberly (Arthur) Hotten, Underwood, ND, Cory Beauchamp, Wahpeton, ND; grandchildren: Amanda Berg, Tyler Hotten, Megan Hotten, and Jacob Beauchamp; sister Lorraine (Orlo) Mostad; brothers: Hector, Remi (Betty), and Edmund (Ruth); sister-in-law Margie Beauchamp; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters and brothers-in-law: Jannette and Orphela Lepire, Doris and Oscar Marcelin, Marcella and Barry Belanus; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Omer Beauchamp, Harvey Beauchamp, Richard and Rita Beauchamp, and Charlotte Beauchamp.
