Roberta Michels

Roberta Ann (Kjellerson) Michels, 73, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at the Turtle Lake Community Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be held Monday, June 19, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will take place for one hour before the time of services. Burial will be in the Cavalier Cemetery.
Roberta was born on July 17, 1943, to Earnest and Maxine (Johnson) Kjellerson-Hanson. In 1962, Roberta married the love of her life, John Michels in Bisbee, ND. Roberta worked at Motor Coach Industries for 33 years until her retirement in 2008.
Roberta enjoyed playing softball, golf, and curling in her young adult life. She also enjoyed camping and gardening. Roberta loved to dance with her high school sweetheart and husband, John. Family and friends were Roberta's passion and delight.
Survivors include her daughters: Polly (Brian) Wolf, Fargo, ND; and Sandra (Mike) Tomlinson, Turtle Lake, ND; grandchildren: Elisa, Erika, Stefan, Joshua, John, Myles, and Marcus; five great-granchildren; two sisters; one brother; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; daughter, Barbara; and sister, Barbara.
