Robert Rohde

Robert Rohde, age 73, of Langdon, ND, passed away August 17, 2008.

Donald Robert Rohde was born January 16, 1935 at Wales, ND to Albert and Mary Eva (Bachmann) Rohde. He was raised on the family farm and continued to work on the farm. He married Selina Schommer on October 8, 1957. In 1960 they moved to Langdon while Bob continued farming until 1966 when they moved to Fargo where he was employed at Siouxland Dressed Beef. In 1970 the family moved back to Langdon where Bob was employed by the ABM Missile Site. In 1972 he became the owner of ABC Seamless until retiring in 2000. After retirement Bob and Selina enjoyed spending their winters in Mesa, AZ. Bob was a member of the Eagles Club and the American Legion. He enjoyed playing cards and cribbage with his friends, spending time at Mt. Carmel Dam with his grandson Chase as well as his winters in Arizona.

He is survived by his wife Selina, daughter Marlys (Chuck) Chellew of California, son Michael (Maria) Rohde of Langdon, grandson Chase, step-grandchildren Nick and Leah Weber, brother Charles (Dianne) Rohde of Langdon, sisters Florence Liebersbach of Langdon, Laura (Stan) Moore of Mendota Heights, MN, Odilia Fabio of Mesa, AZ, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers George, Walter, & Leo, sisters Julia Feldman, Lucy Petri, Rita Slama, Theresa Kroll, Mary Williams, Angeline Michels, and his infant brother Vincent.

VISITATION will take place on Wednesday August 20, 2008 from 2-5 pm at Brooks Funeral Home, Langdon.

PRAYER SERVICE 7:00 Wednesday August 20, 2008 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Langdon.

SERVICES 1:00 O ’Clock Thursday August 21, 2008 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Langdon with visitation one hour prior to the service.

INTERMENT Calvary Cemetery, Langdon, ND.
