Robert J. Gibney

Robert J. Gibney, 60, of Walhalla, ND passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at his home. Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Askew Funeral Home, Walhalla. ND. Burial in be held in the Walhalla Hillside Cemetery.
Robert was born January 18, 1952, at Altona , Manitoba to Donald and Kathleen (Johnston) Gibney. He grew up in Grand Forks where he attended school. After serving in the U.S. Army he moved to Walhalla. He worked for area farmers and at Jackson's Bar.
Survivors include his siblings: Shirley (Jerry) Scanlon, St. Charles, MI, Sharon (Mike) Hart, Emerado, ND, Sharlene Berg, Don (Wendy) Gibney, and Debbie (Dwight) Berg, all of Walhalla; brother-in-law, Bill Cooley, Waconia, MN and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Sandra Cooley; nephew, John Hart; niece, Angela Cooley; and brother-in-law, David Berg.
