Robbie L. Hannesson

Robbie L. Hannesson, 48, formerly of Mountain, ND passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at his home in Tulsa, OK. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Vikur Lutheran Church, Mountain, ND. Burial will be held in the Mountain Cemetery.
Robbie was born February 11, 1967, to Richard and Sandra (Martin) Hannesson. He grew up on the family farm near Mountain with his parents, sister, Leah, and brother, Troy. Robbie attended school in Edinburg, ND, graduating in 1985. He then served in the U.S. Army and after his discharge from the service he lived in Kansas City, KS for a few years. He returned to North Dakota and was a bookkeeper at the Walhalla Coop and also worked at Motor Coach industries in Pembina, ND. He then moved to Tulsa, OK, where he was employed with JMI as a business manager for many years. During that time he traveled extensively. Robbie loved all animals and always had a cat. He especially adored his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Sandra and David Estad; sister, Leah (Warren) Austfjord, all of Cavalier, ND; brother, Troy Hannesson, Mountain, ND; nieces: Kayla, Cassie, Chelsey, Karisa, Kendra; nephew, Tyler; step-brother, Michael Estad, Grand Fork, ND; step-sister, Sherry (Dan) Fjestad , East Grand Forks, MN; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Preceding him in death was his father, Richard and his grandparents.
