Rita Denault

Rita Denault age 68, of Cavalier, ND, died on Monday, July 9, 2007, at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 12, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the Our Savior Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation on Wednesday, July 11th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier ,ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Cavalier Cemetery.
Rita Karel was born April 2, 1939, at Cavalier to N. Eugene and Leona (Falk) Karel. She grew up and attended school at Walhalla, ND. She worked as a waitress, truck driver, and Certified Nursing Assistant in the healthcare industry. Her hobbies include camping, gardening, riding in her convertible, and was active in the Red Hat Society. Interior decorating, shopping, visiting with family and friends, were other passions of hers.
On August 25, 1990, she married Everett Denault at Cavalier.
She is survived by her husband, Everett; children, Lou Ann (Robert) Johnson, Cavalier; Fred (Sandra) Marquardt, Forest River, ND; Gaylene Webb, Deer Park, TX; Bee Ann Forte, Cavalier; Keith Marquardt, Hopkins, MN; Ellen (Jason) Nupdal, Hallock, MN; step-children, Bryan (Kim) Denault, Warroad, MN; Dawna (Bill) Werven, Cavalier; Brent (Jill) Denault, Bathgate, ND; Jeremy (Yvonne) Denault, Argusville, ND; Desiree (Greg) Klose, Colorado Springs, CO; Rachel (Danny) Gothberg, Grand Forks, ND; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-grandchildren; brother, Gale Karels, Yerington, NV.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronald Marquardt; brother, Patrick Karel; sister-in-law, Betty Karels.
