Rita Crockett, 83, of Langdon, ND, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013, at the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital of Langdon, ND.
Rita Jenean Kram was born January 24, 1930, at Langdon, ND, to Samuel A. and Beatrice (Marcotte) Kram. Rita was united in marriage to Nathaniel Crockett onApril 17, 1950, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Dresden, ND. They lived in Minneapolis until 1951, then they moved to Dresden for a year. They returned to Minneapolis until 1953. In 1953 they moved to Hannah. In 1957 they moved and made their home in Stafford, TX. Rita returned to Langdon in 1992 where she has since made her home, spending time in the winter with her children in Texas. Rita attended Teacherââ¬â¢s College and worked in several schools as a teacher and school secretary. Rita was active in the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and its Altar Society, the Senior Citizen's Center and was supportive of the community.
Rita is survived by her children: Cal B. Crockett of Houston, TX, Kent A. (Karon) Crockett of Sugar Land, TX, Mary Barnes of Richmond, TX, Kathy Knieriemen (Jeff) of Sugar Land, TX, Gregory (Betsy) Crockett of Brisbane, Australia; grand-children: Katelynn Crockett, Trey Barnes, Sara Barnes Batten, Chris Knieriemen, Matt Knieriemen, Lauren Knieriemen Drapp, Brandon Crockett, Taylor Crockett; 16 great-grand-children; brother Thomas George Kram of Langdon, ND; sister Geraldine Ann (Elmer) Schneider of Fargo, ND; great-aunt Kathryn Shablow of Langdon; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Nathaniel C. Crockett, parents Samuel & Beatrice Kram, brother Ronald (Agnes) Kram and infant brothers Sigmund & Peter Kram.
Prayer Service/Rosary: Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at 7pm at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon with visitation for one hour before the time of the services.
Funeral: Thursday, July 25, 2013, at 10:00am, at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon, ND with visitation for one hour before the time of the services.
Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Langdon, ND.
