Richard A. "Rick" Houston age 58 of Bathgate, ND died on Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at the St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bathgate Presbyterian Church, Bathgate, ND. Visitation will be held Friday, April 14th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Bathgate Presbyterian Church. Burial in the Bathgate Cemetery. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Richard Allen Houston was born September 21, 1947, at Altona, Manitoba to Vernon "Dick" and Marguerite (Gladue) Houston. He grew up and attended grade school at Bathgate and graduated from Neche High School in 1965. Rick then served in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years, including a one year tour in Vietnam. After his discharge from the service he returned home and worked as a carpenter.
On January 3, 1970, he married Mary Ann Lingohr at Orrin, ND.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; sons, Dan (Summerly) Houston, Bismarck, ND; Jim Houston, Williston, ND; and Ryan Houston, Bathgate, ND; granddaughters, Madisen and Mackenzy Houston; brother, Leslie (Delores) Houston, Bathgate, ND.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents.
