Reinhold Stark

Reinhold C. Stark, 85, of Cavalier, ND passed away March 3, 2014 at Wedgewood Manor in Cavalier. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 7, 2014 at 2:00p.m. at United Lutheran Church in Cavalier. A visitation will be held Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. with a 7:00p.m. prayer service at the Askew Funeral Home in Cavalier.
Reinhold was born August 8, 1928 on the family farm near Neche, ND to John and Matilda (Lembke) Stark. He attended country school in LeRoy Township through eighth grade. After school, he worked on the family farm until he was drafted into the service during the Korean War. He served for two years and then came back and farmed with his dad on the family farm. On May 14, 1955, Reinhold married Rita DeFoe in Cavalier, ND. He continued farm labor for Elmer Burt / Elmer Schweitzer, and Johnson Farms.
Some of his hobbies included woodworking, watching and feeding birds, mowing his lawn, and being outside. Reinhold loved spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Rita, Cavalier, ND; children: Alice (Roger) Anderson, Bemidji, MN, Darlene (Stacy) Roberts, Raub, ND, Richard (Darlene) Stark, Walhalla, ND, Michael (Shelle) Stark, Wyndmere, ND, Peggy (Josh)Whitlow, Thief River Falls, MN; grandchildren: Jessica Szarkowski, Abby Szarkowski, Lindsey (Luke Jr.) Baker, Erica Roberts, Justin Roberts, Teri (Joe) Anundson, Sherry Stark, Mandy Stark, Kim (Mike) Schubert, Julia Stark, Samantha Stark, Addison Whitlow, Jaden Whitlow; step grandchildren: Tiffany (Matt) Foss, Danielle (Adam) Streitz, Blake Hollingsworth, Jordan Hollingsworth, Dalton Praska; great-grandchildren: Willa Anundson, Isabelle Baker; step great-grandchildren: Wyatt Foss, Nolan Foss, Amelia Streitz; siblings: Minnie Briese, Louie (Maida) Stark, Gertrude Bjornson and Mary Hanson; neighborhood granddaughters: Kelsey, Kieran, and Kylah Horsley.
