Raymond Thomas Hebert, 85, of Mountain, ND passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015, at the Pembilier Nursing Center in Walhalla, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Brigid of Ireland Catholic Church, Cavalier, ND. Burial will be at St. Cloutilde Catholic Cemetery, Milton, ND.
Raymond T. Hebert was born September 15, 1929, in Cavalier, ND to Merrill and Elizabeth (Kelso) Hebert. He was raised on the family farm and received his education in Milton, ND. In 1951, he enlisted in the U.S. Army at Fort Lewis, Washington and was very proud to serve in Korea for one and a half years. After the service, he returned to the Milton area working for farmers and Bakke Homes. From June 1974 to December 1996, Ray was employed at the Cavalier Air Force Station, achieving rank of Lieutenant.
On October 14, 1995, he married Inga Laxdal at Vikur Lutheran Church in Mountain. She preceded him death on October 3, 2006.
Raymond was a member of St. Brigid of Ireland Catholic Church, Cavalier.
Survivors include his daughter, Debbie (Steven) Skovgaard; grandchildren: Jennifer, Heather, Christopher (Shannon), William (Kayla), Arien (Jessica); great-grandchildren: Andrew, Glenna (Dustin), Tristan, Breanna, Jerrod, Avery, Sydney, Hannah, Jayden, Kadee, Liam, Molly, and Poe; special family: Dave and Annie Heibert; siblings: Marlene (Richard) Branaman, Lorraine (Bill) Josyln, Robert (Cindy) Hebert; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Oma Hebert, Jane and Sidney Laxdal, Jennifer Armstrong, and LuVern Bredick. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Also preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Florence Denault; brothers: Chuck, Paul, and Don Hebert.
