Raymond F. Bonaime, age 83, of Neche, ND died on September 6, 2008 at Kittson Memorial Healthcare Center in Hallock, MN. Funeral service will be on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Sts. Nereus and Achilleus Catholic Church in Neche, ND at 10:30 am. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 from 5 - 7 pm with a rosary at 7 pm at the church. Military rites by Gainer-McAndrews American Legion Post #242 in Neche. Burial will be at Neche Catholic Cemetery, Neche, ND
Raymond F. Bonaime was born on November 18, 1924 in Neche, ND to Henry and Delia (Lemier) Bonaime. He married Betty Styles on October 7, 1948 in Walhalla, ND. He attended Wahpeton State School of Science in 1950 and 1951. He was employed by Bill Spanglo Construction, Mayo and Son Construction Co, and Rosebud Coal mine in Colstrip, MT. Raymond served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1946-1947. He returned to Neche following his retirement on February 26, 1993. He was a member of Sts. Nereus and Achilleus Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, and the Friendly Neighbors Senior Citizens, all of Neche.
Survivors include his wife, Betty of Neche, six children, Michael of Neche, Tina (David) Trammel of Greenwood, IN, Larry (Tammy) of Dogue, VA, LuAnne (Jim) Gustafson of Helena, MT, David (Romelie) of Fairfield, CA and James of Walhalla, ND, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one sister, Delores Milner of Rock Springs, WY. Preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and two sisters.
Celebrant: Rev. Fr. Thomas Krupich.
Music: Bettie Lou Stegman, Organist and Curtis Stegman, Soloist.
Casket Bearers: Paul Bonaime, Marvin Grumbo, Howard Kaercher, James Lembke, Lionel Lemier, and Ray Wilson.
