Randy Evans, 63, of Langdon, ND, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 at Langdon, ND.
Randy Earl Evans was born December 7, 1948 to Marcus and Vivian Evans. He was baptized in the Presbyterian Church. Randy grew up in Langdon and graduated from Langdon High School in the class of 1967. He entered the US Army in 1969. Randy and Olivia Sletten were united in marriage on July 21, 1972. Randy worked at the MSR Site and started farming in 1972 when his father passed away suddenly. Randy opened Custom Grain Cleaning in 1997 and along with that, continued his farming operation. He was awarded the Jaycees Outstanding Young Farmer Award in 1976-1977. Randy was an active Mason and Shriner. He served as Worshipful Master of Lebanon Lodge #34 in 1981-1982. He was President of the Kem 49er's in 1989-1990 and Potentate of Kem Shrine in 2003. Randy loved fishing and golfing but was happiest spending time with his family. He will be sorely missed.
Randy is survived by his wife: Olivia of Langdon; children: Marcus Evans along with his wife Karmen and their children Emma and Ellie Evans all of Fargo and Grant Evans of Langdon; and his siblings: Richard (Katherine) Evans of Lincoln, NE, Craig (Sharon) Evans of Lewsville, TX; and Pam Evans of Minneapolis, MN.
VISITATION/PRAYER SERVICE: Visitation will begin at 5pm with a 7pm Prayer Service Service at the Presbyterian Church of Langdon, ND on Tuesday, May 8, 2012.
SERVICES: Services will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 2:00pm at the Presbyterian Church of Langdon, ND.
INTERMENT: Lebanon Cemetery, Langdon, ND.
