Ramona Howell

Ramona J. Howell age 79 of Leroy, ND died on Sunday, August 20, 2006, at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at the Walhalla Assembly of God Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 23rd from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Askew Funeral Home, Walhalla, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services at the church. Burial in the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Leroy, ND.
Ramona J. Wendt was born August 9, 1927, at Walhalla, ND to Frank and Thilda (Jorgenson) Wendt. She grew up and attended school at Walhalla and also attended a summer term at Mayville State Teachers College. She worked for farmers in the area during the potato season.
On May 8, 1947, she married Francis "Baw" Howell at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Leroy, ND. Francis died on November 27, 2002.
He hobbies included gardening, canning, handiwork, crocheting, and also loved birds.
She is survived by her son, Roderick (Vickie) Howell, Grand Forks, ND, grandchildren, Tami (Dan) Funk, Miamisburg, OH; Tonya Howell, Grand Forks, ND, Scott Howell, St. Paul, MN, and Brandon Howell, Grand Forks; great grandchildren, Peyton and Jordan Funk; brother, Florian (Eileen) Wendt, Walhalla, ND and sister, Dolly Bjornstad, Grafton, ND.
Ramona was preceded in death by her parents.
