Ralph J. Borgen

Ralph J. Borgen, 96, of Langdon, ND and formerly of Hannah, ND passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018 at the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital, Langdon, ND. Funeral service will be held Friday, July 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Langdon United Methodist Church, Langdon, ND. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 12th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Brooks Funeral Home, Langdon, ND. Burial will be held in the Hannah Cemetery.

Ralph J. Borgen was born February 27, 1922 in Grey Township of Cavalier County. He grew up in the Hannah area where he attended school. Ralph farmed his entire life in the Hannah area.

On July 10, 1946, he married Dora McLean at Crookston, MN and would have celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary. They made their home at Hannah and for 39 years wintered in Texas. Ralph enjoyed farming and golfing in later years. He was a member of the Hannah School Board, Hannah Cemetery Board, Langdon United Methodist Church, Odd Fellows Lodge, and the Langdon Eagles.

He is survived by his wife, Dora; children: Kerwin (Flora) Borgen, Detroit Lakes, MN, Dennis (Maryl) Borgen and Judy (Arnold) Jordan, all of Langdon, Richard (Dawn) Borgen, Hannah, ND; grandchildren: Keri Rogne and Lindsey Lunnin; Chris, Mike, and Noel Borgen; Joshua Jordan, Angela Hager, and Jesse Jordan; Candace Schiermeister, Craig Borgen, Jacy Bata, and Wayne Borgen; and 18 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his siblings: Olga Feil, Betty Mikkelsen, Carol Godfrey, Eileen Cassella, and Orville Borgen.

Preceding him in death were his parents and siblings: William, Marie, Carl, Glenn, Doris, Donelda, and Lois.
