Phyllis Reichert, 86, Cavalier, ND and formerly of Hensel, ND, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017, at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Askew Funeral Home in Cavalier. Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, rural St. Thomas, ND. Interment will be held in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery in the spring.
Phyllis Jean Wells was born November 3, 1930, at Norma, ND to Earl and Edna (Larson) Wells.
She married Orval Lavern Reichert, July 23, 1955 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, St. Thomas, ND.
Phyllis enjoyed cooking, reading, watching westerns on TV, cross stitching, and gardening. Phyllis very much enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church Ladies Aid, Bible Study and LWML.
Survivors include: her husband Orval Reichert, her children: Ann (Neal) Martin, Grand Forks, ND, Karen McLeod, Cavalier, ND (and fiancĩe Robert Cataldi, Colorado Springs), Terry (Teresa) Reichert, Hensel, ND, Kristy (Jon) Dornacker, Garrison, ND; grandchildren: Karl Martin, Hurst, TX, George Martin, Duluth, MN, Mitchell (Eden) McLeod, McClusky, ND, Kelsie (Eric) Laufenberg, Fargo, ND, Alex Dornacker, and Cassie Dornacker, Garrison, ND, Erik (Casey) Zimmeht, Ottumwa, IA;
great grandchildren: Parker Martin, Anabelle Martin and Olivia Martin, Hurst, TX, Wyatt and Josie McLeod, McClusky, ND, Addley Laufenberg, Fargo, ND, Rece Zimmeht, Elliott Zimmeht, and Sailor Zimmeht, Ottumwa, IA.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers: Floyd Wells, Clifford Well, Glen Wells, and Howard Wells; granddaughter Amanda Joy McLeod and son in law Allen McLeod.
