Peter Koropatnicki

Peter Koropatnicki age 74 of Walhalla, ND died on Thursday, June 29, 2006, at the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital, Langdon, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 3, 2006, at 10:30a .m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 2nd from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service at the church. Burial in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Leroy, ND.
Peter was born October 27, 1931, in Pembina County to Theodore and Mary (Symynciw) Koropatnicki.
On May 26, 1951, he married Mary Zaharia at Leroy, ND.
He farmed in North Olga Township 50 plus years and had a gravel construction business for 10 years. He was also auditor and supervisor for North Olga Township. In 1972, his family moved to their present home and purchased Walhalla Equipment Co. which he operated with his sons for 10 years. He continued farming until five years ago, when he expanded the home garden and planted many trees. He carefully tended the garden and trees until a week before his death.
Pete is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Jerry Koropatnicki, Cavalier, ND; Wayne (Sharon) Koropatnicki, and John Koropatnicki both of Walhalla, ND; Joan (Kevin) Thomas, Port Orchard, WA; D. Linda Michael and Kent Koropatnicki both of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Jennifer and Angie Koropatnicki; Steven and Andrew Thomas; Kristopher Michael; Shawna, Devon, and Troy Olson; great grandchildren, Dalton and Tanner Olson; brother, Joseph Kory, St. Cloud, MN; sisters, Annie Plante, Bismarck, ND, Lena Werner, Grass Valley, CA, and Emelia Wilkinson, Olympia, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Nick, William, and Michael Koropatnicki; and sister, Jennie Carignan.

Casket Bearers: Ronald Carignan, Teddy Koropatnicki, Terry Koropatnicki, Ronnie Plante, Mark Zaharia, and Paul Zaharia.
