Peggy M. Johnson

Peggy M. Johnson, 80, of Hamilton, ND passed away Friday, February 6, 2015, at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Brigid of Ireland Catholic Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 10th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service at the church.
Peggy was born May 14, 1934, near Pisek, ND to Frank and Mary (Nymon) Hajicek. She attended Willow Grove Country School. After attending two years of high school at Pisek, she graduated from Oakwood High School. Peggy attended Valley City Teachers College, and then taught at West Fargo and Hamilton, ND.
On November 27, 1959, she married Floyd C. "Tuffy" Johnson at Cavalier. She then taught at Langdon, Walhalla, Nekoma, and did some substitute teaching in Cavalier. Her greatest passion in life was sharing and teaching the Christian Faith. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, cake decorating, flower arranging, ceramics, painting, quilting, gardening, and crafts of all types.
She is survived by her brothers: Ken (Avis) Hajicek, Park River, ND and Franklin (Shirley) Hajicek, Cottonwood, AZ; niece, Pam Hajicek, West Fargo, ND; nephew, Michael (Marni) Hajicek and their children, Aubrey and Hadley, West Fargo, ND.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Floyd on February 1, 1998; sister-in-law, Gladys Hajicek.
